Curtains
Screen Savers
We have tried to design the Curtains Screen Saver program to be as simple
and easy as possible. Curtains is stored in the Programs folder if you
are using Windows and in the Control Panel if you are using a
Macintosh. It is very important not to move any of Curtains files or
folders on your computer or Curtains may not work. The follwing is a
list of the features designed into Curtains:
CONTROL PANEL:
"On/Off"
Curtains for Windows: This sets Curtains as the active
screen saver or turns it off. You may also turn Curtains
on or off via the Windows screen saver control panel.
Curtains for Macintosh: Macintosh users can only use the
Curtains control panel to turn it on or off. You must
manually turn off any other screen saver you have running.
"Set Timer"
Curtains for Windows: Sets the time of computer inactivity
before the Screen Saver launches. You may also set the
timer from the Windows screen saver control panel.
Curtains for Macintosh: Macintosh users can only use the
Curtains control panel to set the timer.
"Movie Selection"
Windows & Macintosh: Allows you to select which screen
saver movies are active. You may also play the screen
savers manually from this location.
"Resolution"
Windows & Macintosh: This feature allows you to work
in one resolution (800 x 600 e.g.) and view the screen
savers in 640 x 480 which will fill your entire screen.
When you go back to work, Curtains will automatically
return you to your previous screen resolution.
Warning: If you need to restart your computer each time
you change the resolution,
DO NOT USE THIS FEATURE !
"Password"
Curtains for Windows: Allows you to protect your data from
prying eyes. You must type in your personal password
before the screen saver will go away. You may also set
your password from the Windows screen saver control panel.
Curtains for Macintosh: Macintosh users can only use the
Curtains control panel to set the password.
NOTE: If you forget your password, the only way to get back into
your computer is to shut it off and enter a new password
when it comes on. You will lose all unsaved information
and it's not good for your computer so remember your
password.
"Interval"
Windows & Macintosh: This feature allows you to change
the frequency in which the Screen Savers in your "active"
window (located in "Movie Selection") are shown. You
have the following four choices:
1. Change Screen Saver movie each time
2. Change Screen Saver movie each day
3. Change Screen Saver movie each week
4. Change Screen Saver movie each month
5. The "Link" feature will link all of the
Screen Savers together and play them
sequencially.
"Sound"
Windows & Macintosh: Here you can set the volume for
your Screen Savers or you can mute them. There is a
feature under "Options" which will mute the sound if
you leave the cursor in the lower right corner of your
screen.
If the screen saver is running and you want to mute the
the sound, simply press the "M" key. To turn the sound
back on, press the "M" key again.
"To Our
Website"
Windows & Macintosh: This allows you direct access to
our website, but just in case our address is:
www.digiscapes.com/curtains
To Uninstall
Curtains:
Curtains for Windows: First, make sure Curtains is
turned off. Next go to the "Start" button, then to
"Programs" then to Curtains, then to "Uninstall Curtains"
and follow the directions.
Curtains for Macintosh:
1. Turn the Curtains Screen Saver program off.
2. Open your primary Hard Drive and find the "Curtains" folder.
3. Drag the "Curtains" folder to the "Trash"
4. Open the "Systems Folder" located on your primary Hard Drive.
5. Open the "Control Panels" folder and find the "Curtains" folder.
6. Drag the "Curtains" folder to the "Trash".
7. Go to the "Systems Folder" and open the "Startup Items" folder.
8. Find the "Curtains Launcher" icon and drag it to the "Trash"
9. RESTART YOUR COMPUTER THEN EMPTY YOUR TRASH.
We have many more screen saver movies planned for release in the
near future. You may order them from our website as a collection as
in "The Yosemite Collection," or you may order them individually by
down loading them directly from our website.
Curtains is designed for high end computers. If you experience sound,
picture, or performance issues with your screen savers, it is most liklly
due to your computer's memory or processor speed. Please check the
system requirements located on the box Curtains came with.
