  7.   We have tried to design the Curtains Screen Saver program to be as simple 
  8.   and easy as possible.  Curtains is stored in the Programs folder if you 
  9.   are using Windows and in the Control Panel if you are using a 
  10.   Macintosh.  It is very important not to move any of Curtains files or 
  11.   folders on your computer or Curtains may not work.  The follwing is a 
  12.   list of the features designed into Curtains:

  14.  CONTROL PANEL:

  16.  "On/Off"    
  17.  
  18.                        Curtains for Windows:  This sets Curtains as the active
  19.                  screen saver or turns it off.  You may also turn Curtains 
  20.                  on or off via the Windows screen saver control panel.  
  21.

  23.                        Curtains for Macintosh:  Macintosh users can only use the
  24.                  Curtains control panel to turn it on or off.  You must
  25.                  manually turn off any other screen saver you have running.

  28.  "Set Timer"
  29.  
  30.                  Curtains for Windows:  Sets the time of  computer inactivity
  31.                  before the Screen Saver launches.  You may also set the
  32.                  timer from the Windows screen saver control panel.

  35.                  Curtains for Macintosh:  Macintosh users can only use the
  36.                  Curtains control panel to set the timer.

  39.  "Movie Selection"
  40.  
  41.                       Windows & Macintosh:  Allows you to select which screen
  42.                  saver movies are active.  You may also play the screen 
  43.                  savers manually from this location.

  46.  "Resolution" 
  47.  
  48.                  Windows & Macintosh:  This feature allows you to work 
  49.                  in one resolution (800 x 600 e.g.) and view the screen
  50.                  savers in 640 x 480 which will fill your entire screen.
  51.                  When you go back to work, Curtains will automatically 
  52.                  return you to your previous screen resolution.

  55.                  Warning:  If you need to restart your computer each time  
  56.                  you change the resolution,
  57.                  
  58.                                   DO NOT USE THIS FEATURE !

  60.  "Password"  
  61.  
  62.                  Curtains for Windows:  Allows you to protect your data from 
  63.                  prying eyes.  You must type in your personal password 
  64.                  before the screen saver will go away.  You may also set
  65.                  your password from the Windows screen saver control panel.
  66.                   
  67.                  Curtains for Macintosh:  Macintosh users can only use the 
  68.                  Curtains control panel to set the password. 
  69.

  71.      NOTE:  If you forget your password, the only way to get back into 
  72.                  your computer is to shut it off and enter a new password 
  73.                  when it comes on.  You will lose all unsaved information 
  74.                  and it's not good for your computer so remember your 
  75.                  password.

  78.  "Interval"
  79.  
  80.                       Windows & Macintosh:  This feature allows you to change
  81.                  the frequency in which the Screen Savers in your "active"  
  82.                  window (located in "Movie Selection") are shown.  You 
  83.                  have the following four choices:
  84.                
  85.                      1.  Change Screen Saver movie each time 
  86.                      2.  Change Screen Saver movie each day 
  87.                      3.  Change Screen Saver movie each week
  88.                      4.  Change Screen Saver movie each month
  89.                      5.  The "Link" feature will link all of the
  90.                           Screen Savers together and play them
  91.                           sequencially.

  93.  "Sound"
  94.  
  95.                  Windows & Macintosh:  Here you can set the volume for 
  96.                  your  Screen Savers or you can mute them.  There is a 
  97.                  feature under "Options" which will mute the sound if 
  98.                  you leave the  cursor in the lower right corner of your
  99.                  screen.

  101.                  If the screen saver is running and you want to mute the
  102.                  the sound, simply press the "M" key.  To turn the sound
  103.                  back on, press the "M" key again.

  108.                  Windows & Macintosh:  This allows you direct access to 
  109.                  our website, but just in case our address is:

  116.  To Uninstall 
  117.  Curtains:
  118.  
  119.                  Curtains for Windows:    First, make sure Curtains is
  120.                  turned off.  Next go to the "Start" button, then to 
  121.                  "Programs" then to Curtains, then to "Uninstall  Curtains" 
  122.                  and follow the directions.

  124.                  Curtains for Macintosh:
  125.  
  126.       1.  Turn the Curtains Screen Saver program off.
  127.       2.  Open your primary Hard Drive and find the "Curtains" folder.
  128.       3.  Drag the "Curtains" folder to the "Trash"
  129.       4.  Open the "Systems Folder" located on your primary Hard Drive.
  130.       5.  Open the "Control Panels" folder and find the "Curtains" folder.
  131.       6.  Drag the "Curtains" folder to the "Trash".
  132.       7.  Go to the "Systems Folder" and open the "Startup Items" folder.
  133.       8.  Find the "Curtains Launcher" icon and drag it to the "Trash"
  134.       9.  RESTART YOUR COMPUTER THEN EMPTY YOUR TRASH.

  136.   We have many more screen saver movies planned for release in the
  137.   near future.  You may order them from our website as a collection as 
  138.   in "The Yosemite Collection," or you may order them individually by 
  139.   down loading them directly from our website.

  141.   Curtains is designed for high end computers.  If you experience sound,
  142.   picture, or performance issues with your screen savers, it is most liklly 
  143.   due to your computer's memory or processor speed.  Please check the
  144.   system requirements located on the box Curtains came with.
